What We Learned From Columbine

The Columbine Attack in April of 1999 changed everything for everyone, including law enforcement. There had been attacks before this one, however, law enforcement and the American people weren’t prepared both literally and mentally for this type of incident.

Law enforcement was blamed for their perceived inaction when in reality, they did exactly what they had been trained to do at the time, which was set up a perimeter and wait for the SWAT team.

Watch Chris describe what actually happened at Columbine and see why Law Enforcment has made such a drastic change to their response protocols, and why we as American citizens should do the same!
