Active Shooter America is a training provider that specializes in Armed Threat Response training. We train community members, schools, places of worship, businesses, law enforcement and armed security personnel how to prepare for and respond to armed threat attacks. We pride ourselves on providing our clients with the best instructional experience, with thorough yet concise information that is easy to understand and retain. Our Mission is to empower, motivate and train our clients with effective, options-based concepts & principles that can be used in any situation, and will serve to better prepare them mentally and physically for the worst case scenario.
Active Shooter America came into existence in its current form in 2018. During this short time, they've facilitated comprehensive active shooter training for several clients all over the state of California. Active Shooter America has a cadre of the finest instructors in the business, who not only bring top-notch skills and years of experience, but also bring an exceptional level of enthusiasm, dedication, and nuanced perspective that makes this program the complete solution for a client's training needs.
After completing one of Federal Law Enforcement's toughest academies and serving three years on the Southwest border, Chris was certified as a Firearms Instructor and began instructing Federal Agents in everything from basic firearms handling to advanced tactics, such as Active Shooter Response and Tactical Awareness. The more experience Chris gained, the more he began to develop his own ideas and philosophies, all the while, honing his own unique teaching style. Then, the Active Shooter Program was shut down due to manpower issues. This made Chris eager to cultivate his own program, one that would allow him to branch out further than he could before.
Chris believes that what allows students to effectively learn and retain knowledge and what makes a creative business thrive is the passion that drives it. Choosing to specialize in a field means you are completely devoted to it; that you will protect it as if it were your own. That is the energy that sets Chris and Active Shooter America apart.
From winning the “Top Shooter” award at the U.S. Border Patrol Academy, to serving three years on the San Diego Sector Pistol Team, Chris not only learned his way around a firearm, but also perfected his skills at instructing others to do the same. Chris was instrumental in the implementation of the Active Shooter Program to the San Diego Sector Border Patrol and also implemented a civilian course which he taught for thousands of community members around San Diego County. Instructing Federal Agents for ten years of his career, Chris has hands-on experience with the concepts and principles that effectively train individuals to protect themselves. Staying ahead of the ever-evolving Armed Threats we face in this country is Chris’ sixth sense.
Chris holds Firearms Instructor certifications from the U.S. Border Patrol, the National Rifle Association (NRA), and the California Department of Justice.
